Petersham has a scalloped edge and has a ridge like texture. It tends to be softer than Grosgrain but strong. It can be curved and manipulated typically made from Rayon, Cotton, or Viscose.

Once steamed, it will take on and support a particular curve. Highly useful for obtaining a smooth edge on a hat brim or head fitting.
